The Faculty/Directorate

The Faculty of Business and Law, which comprises Leicester Castle Business School and Leicester De Montfort Law School, has achieved international recognition across a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses. The growing student body consists of more than 8000 students of more than 70 nationalities, making it a truly global faculty. With more than 400 academic and practitioner staff, students are taught in the multi-million-pound state-of-the-art Hugh Aston Building, its new extension, and the iconic Leicester Castle.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join the busy Faculty office team in the Faculty of Business and Law, helping us to provide high quality administration and student support to our growing community of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The post holder will provide a professional administrative service to students and academic staff associated with a portfolio of programmes. They will be responsible for the co-ordination of all administrative tasks associated with programme administration, including registration, assessment, maintenance of student records, committee servicing, quality assurance and data maintenance. They will contribute to wider team tasks and objectives; and to participate in Faculty and University-wide activities.

 

The Person

We are seeking someone with excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills; a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; excellent customer service skills; a high level of numeracy and written skills; an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection; and someone who can work well in a high pressured environment with minimal supervision and be an enthusiastic and proactive member of the team.
