Faculty/Directorate
The Administrator is a key member of the Faculty Administration Team, providing vital support to ensure the smooth delivery of academic programmes and a positive student experience. Working under the direction of Team Leads and Administrative Coordinators, the post holder will coordinate and manage a range of administrative tasks, taking ownership of specific subject areas to deliver efficient and effective support to students, academic staff, and internal departments. This role will be working in the faculty office in the faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Main duties and responsibilities
Role
This role supports student administration across the entire student lifecycle and contributes to wider faculty operations. The Administrator will work collaboratively within the team, prioritising tasks to meet departmental needs, and reports directly to a Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting academic and administrative staff with clerical tasks and project coordination.
- Managing schedules, appointments, and meetings to ensure efficient time management.
- Handling student and staff enquiries, providing accurate information and assistance.
- Coordinating events, workshops, and seminars, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.
- Maintaining and updating records, databases, and filing systems.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and official documents.
- Ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an organised and proactive administrator with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. They will have excellent communication and IT skills, with experience using spreadsheets and databases to maintain accurate records. A collaborative team player, they will demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to students and staff alike.
