The Faculty/Directorate
The Faculty of Technology, Arts and Culture is home to an extraordinary breadth of disciplines from Engineering to English, Computer Science to Fine Art, Drama to Media Production, and is one of the UK's leading Higher Education providers of creative disciplines. Working in a busy and dynamic administration team, we provide a professional support service to approximately 6000 students and academic staff across our 4 main buildings; the award-winning Vijay Patel Building, the Clephan Building and our Performing Arts Centre of Excellence, and the Queens Building.
Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and well-organised Administrator(s) to join our administration team. As a key member of the programme support team, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of academic programmes and ensuring a positive student experience. Working under the guidance of Team Leaders and supporting Administrative Coordinators, you will take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver efficient, high-quality administrative support to students, academic colleagues, and internal departments.
You will be providing essential administrative support to staff and students within a designated School. As a key member of the programme administration team you will undertake a broad range of activities including providing support to assessment and registration processes, maintaining accurate student records, supporting with the servicing of committees, note taking at meetings, and providing general administrative support across the faculty office.
This role is on a full time, permanent basis.
Ideal Candidate(s)
You will bring excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy environment. With a proactive and flexible approach, you will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a wider team and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Experience within an administrative role, particularly in higher education or a similar setting, would be advantageous, along with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and confidence in handling data and documentation accurately.
