Job Description: 

Main duties and responsibilities

As part of our ambitious transformation of the Technology Directorate, we are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to strengthen and evolve our digital and technology delivery capability.

 

As Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of digital and technology initiatives across the university. You will lead a team of Project Managers and delivery professionals, ensuring that our services meet current needs while aligning with long-term strategic goals. This is a senior leadership role that blends delivery expertise with people management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage delivery teams across a portfolio of digital and technology projects.
  • Apply Agile, Lean, and hybrid methodologies to suit varying project contexts.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and empowered team culture.
  • Oversee delivery flow, quality standards, and pace across all phases of work.
  • Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and delivery challenges.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships through transparent communication.
  • Monitor financial performance, balancing cost and value in delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement and service excellence.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Proven experience in leading high-performing delivery teams in complex digital/technology environments.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a track record of inspiring teams and driving performance.
  • Expertise in Agile, Lean, and hybrid delivery frameworks, with the ability to adapt approaches to evolving needs.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in financial and resource management, including vendor oversight.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service improvement.
  • Experience in the Higher Education, Public, or Not-for-Profit sectors is highly desirable.
