Job Description: 

Purpose

Faculty/Directorate: 

The International Directorate is an energentic and dynamic part of the university, which leads on two distinct functions: TransNational Education (TNE) delivered by the Global Partnerships Unit (GPU) and international student recruitment, led by the International Office.

Main duties and responsibilities

Global Partnership Officer

One Year Fixed Term (secondment will be considered for internal candidates)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Global Partnerships Unit.  Internationalisation is a key component of DMU’s growth plans and the University has in place ambitious plans to support the management and development of our TransNational Education (TNE) Partnerships. The time to join the International Directorate and contribute to our ambitious and exciting goals has never been better.

The post holder will work closely with international leads, academic and professional services staff with a focus on managing a portfolio of existing academic partnerships and building the necessary relationships to maximize their potential. As part of the wider role you will provide professional advice, guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders on a range of operational and quality issues in support of the University’s collaborative provision and TNE student experience.

 

Ideal candidate: 

Educated to degree level, this role would suit a highly motivated individual with an understanding of the principles of partnership working. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills.  You should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in an often pressured, high profile and commercial environment. You may be required to undertake some overseas travel.
