Faculty / Directorate
The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at De Montfort University educates and develops professionals who make a significant difference to people’s lives, health, wellbeing and society. It is home to the Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences in which this post will be based.
Role
You would work as part of a team, primarily delivering high quality teaching and training across a range of programmes. In addition to adult aural diagnostics and rehabilitation, we are looking for expertise in paediatric audiology and/or diagnostic audiology (evoked response audiometry). You would contribute to teaching and training across our programmes, including developing and creating new programmes and short courses.
The role will also involve being a key member of the academic placement team, so experience and expertise in professional practice is required.
The Audiology section of the school is one of the largest in the country and boasts excellent facilities with the latest clinical equipment. It offers a great opportunity for someone to engage in enterprise and research.
The role is on a full time, permanent basis. The salary for this role is between £39,906 - £56,535 depending if appointed as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer.
Ideal Candidate
Ideal candidate should be experienced and be enthusiastic about the subject. They should have an all-round grounding in Audiology. Although a postgraduate qualification in Audiology would be beneficial, we are interested to hear from candidates with significant clinical experience. The candidate must be passionate about teaching and training and are creative and willing to develop further networks.
A satisfactory basic DBS check will be required for this role.
