Our award-winning People Services directorate plays a vital role in shaping the future of DMU. With a rich and diverse portfolio spanning People Partnering, Policy and Employee Relations, Wellbeing, International, Pay and Reward, Operations and Support, Talent, Learning and Organisational Development, we work collaboratively across the university to deliver high-quality, people-centred services that enable our colleagues and students to thrive. At the heart of our work is a commitment to attracting, developing, retaining and supporting talented colleagues, while partnering with leaders to deliver strategic priorities, drive organisational change and create an inclusive, engaging workplace. As we continue to evolve our People function, this is an exciting time to join us and play a key role in shaping how we support the university ambitions.

Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering organisational change and transformation initiatives across the university as part of our newly established Change and Projects Team.  As a People Partner, you will work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape and implement change programmes that support the university's strategic objectives, balancing colleague experience, legal compliance and commerciality. Alongside providing expert strategic HR advice, you will act as a trusted partner, helping leaders navigate complex organisational challenges, workforce planning and transformation. Working collaboratively across People Services, you'll commission specialist expertise, lead strategic projects and coach leaders to build capability, embed sustainable change and deliver excellent outcomes for colleagues and the wider university.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a strategic partnering environment and is passionate about enabling organisational change. You will have a strong track record of influencing and coaching senior leaders, delivering people-focused solutions and supporting complex change programmes within the parameters of a large organisation. You will combine commercial awareness with excellent employment law knowledge, strong stakeholder management and the confidence to challenge constructively. Comfortable working across multiple priorities, you will be motivated by solving complex organisational challenges and making a meaningful impact through transformation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
