De Montfort University are looking to appoint a new Safety and Facilities Manager on a fixed-term basis till end of July 2026 in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
Faculty
You will join the faculty of Health and Life Sciences (HLS) - a large Faculty that offers education across a number of health and social care courses and is home to four specialist schools - Allied Health Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, The Leicester School of Nursing and Midwifery, and The Leicester School of Pharmacy.
The role
In your new role as Safety and Facilities Manager, you will provide recognised technical expertise and professional advice and guidance to members of the faculty. With management responsibility and acting as the primary agent within the faculty for ensuring health & safety responsibilities are discharged, the role holder will ensure that all faculty assets are maintained and that the faculty complies with all relevant H&S legislation and university policies.
This is a specialist role as part of the Faculty’s professional services team, reporting to the Director of Faculty Operations.
This role is on a fixed term contract until end of July 2026, full time (37 hours per week).
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone passionate about driving continuous improvement. You will be successful in this role if you have an organised approach to health and safety, risk management with experience in project planning from an operational standpoint.
