The School of Engineering, Infrastructure and Sustainability, one of the most research-intensive units within the university, equips students with the skills and specialist knowledge to solve real-world problems. We are a dynamic, inclusive school that combines cutting-edge research, strong industrial links and state-of-the-art facilities to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes accredited by multiple engineering professional institutions. Built on direct engagement with industry through consultancy and knowledge transfer, along with a strong research environment, our School offers both BEng and MEng programmes in mechanical, aeronautical, electrical and electronic engineering, mechatronics and robotics. We also offer a portfolio of MSc programmes in related fields.

Our School is proud of our extra-curricular activities that include a vibrant, practical electronics club and participation in Engineers Without Borders UK. Our students also compete in international competitions such as the IMechE Formula Student, Railway Challenge and UAS Challenge, where they gain real-world, practical, team-based skills. This exposure to industry standards leads to outstanding career prospects for our graduates.
